Coca-Cola Project
This is the visualisation of my research from looking into the brand Coca-Cola and how they operate across the world. The research was first into the history of the brand and the development of the Logo, marketing and packaging through history. Through my research into the brand I discovered so much more about the co-operation then I thought I would. This creative outcome visualises the depth of the brand, and what is hidden and masked by layers of it marketing, branding and iconic design. The research uncovered information about Coca-Colas connections with child labour in El Salvador, pollution of local environments around the world, enormous water consumption taking 2.5 litre of water to make 1 litre of coke in countries where clean water is scarce and most shocking the organised murders of union leaders in Columbia which protestors have called Killer Coke. My work depicts how all this dirtier information is hidden through layers of beautiful iconic design and aggressive marketing, which is not found until someone researches directly into them.
